How Ample Imagine turns a price drop into a timely WhatsApp message
A customer wishlists a product, or views it three times without buying, which is a softer signal but still a real one. Then the price drops. On most Shopify stores, nothing happens next. The customer might find out days or weeks later, or not at all, and by then they may have bought it elsewhere or moved on.
Ample Imagine, an Apple reseller, closed that gap. Its flow watches for any Shopify price drop of 5% or more and checks it against two signal sources: a Price Drop notifier that customers opt into, and product view history. When a real price cut lines up with a product this specific customer has already shown interest in, a WhatsApp message goes out the moment both line up.

The message itself is simple. The old price is struck through, the new price is highlighted, and a Shop Now button takes the customer straight back to the product page. There's no browsing step, because the customer already knew what they wanted. They were just waiting for the right price.
De-duplication is a small detail that carries a lot of weight here. A customer who filled out the Price Drop notifier and also viewed the product would, without a check, receive two nearly identical messages about the same price cut. Ample Imagine's flow catches that and sends one. It's a minor technical decision, but it decides whether the message feels considerate or feels like a system that has lost track of what it sent five minutes ago.

There's a fallback as well. Customers who tap "Need Help" instead of "Shop Now" reach a live agent rather than an automated loop. For a purchase that's often only waiting on price, the message alone is usually enough, and the flow is built for the times it isn't.

This is reactivation in the strict sense. It targets customers who already showed intent and then went quiet, rather than cold traffic, and that's a large part of why it performs well. In 30 days, 168 price drop alerts went out, driving ₹82.9K in order revenue at a 7.14% Shop Now click-through rate. A good cold WhatsApp broadcast usually lands well below that CTR. This flow starts with warmer intent, and the results show it.
The ceiling is clear too. The flow only works on products that actually drop in price, and only for customers who left a signal beforehand. You can't scale it by sending more messages. It fires exactly as often as pricing and existing interest allow, which helps keep the click-through rate high, since there's very little noise for it to compete with.
If your store already runs a Price Drop notifier or keeps view history in Shopify, this is a short build: watch for the price change, check it against who has shown intent, dedupe, and send. The mechanism does more of the work than the copy.
