Ace Blend Stopped Losing Buyers to Unanswered Questions

33% of Ace Blend's total sales now come from AI-assisted conversations. Here's how a plant-based nutrition brand turned customer skepticism into a conversion engine.

Ace Blend Stopped Losing Buyers to Unanswered Questions

Every supplement brand runs into this eventually.

A buyer lands on a product page for an Omega-3 and Magnesium combo. Clearly interested. But before they add to cart, they want to know: Does this interact with my PCOS medication? Is the DHA dose clinically meaningful? Should I take this with Lion's Mane or instead of it?

A checkout flow cannot answer that. A static FAQ page at 11pm cannot either. And in the Indian supplement market, where buyers research carefully before they spend, those unanswered questions are usually where the sale dies.

For Ace Blend, a Fireside Ventures-backed plant-based nutrition brand selling across D2C, marketplaces, and corporate wellness channels, this was the real problem. Not product quality. Not pricing. A gap between what customers needed to understand before buying, and what their tools could tell them.

Who is Ace Blend?

Ace Blend makes proteins, functional drinks, and wellness supplements for the Indian health consumer who reads ingredient labels. Their product lineup is intentionally complex: unique formulations, clinical dosages, products that work differently depending on individual health goals. As Aishwary Mishra, their Head of IT and CRM, put it: "A high-consideration category where clarity and trust drive every conversion."

That framing shapes everything. Customers want to know if the formulation actually works, what the clinical dosage is, and whether the product fits their specific situation. Every new SKU launched created more of those questions, and existing tools had no way to answer them at scale.

The Challenge

In the Indian supplement market, purchase decisions are driven by trust. Ace Blend's buyers research, compare, and ask specific questions about formulations, dosages, and compatibility with their health conditions. Their previous tools had no way to answer those questions at scale.

  • No AI to handle pre-purchase queries about ingredients, dosages, or product compatibility
  • High-intent buyers dropping off the product page with no way to capture or convert them
  • No recommendation logic for goal-based product stacking
  • Certified nutrition professionals spending most of their time answering repetitive ingredient questions

What Ace Blend deployed

Ace Blend brought in Manifest AI's full commerce suite. Three components did the work.

Instant AI Product Assistant

Instead of waiting for an agent or searching FAQs, customers now get accurate product answers immediately. Ask how much Omega-3 is in the Outshine Omega 3 and Max Magnesium Super Combo, and the AI responds: 1650mg per serving, with 743mg EPA and 528mg DHA. In seconds. With a product link and add-to-cart button in the same message.

Within the first week of going live, the AI was already contributing 9.2% to sales, with interacting customers converting at a 9% higher rate than those who did not engage. Aishwary's assessment after that first review was that the AI was finding the right balance between accuracy and a useful response, even before significant product data had been uploaded. That early signal held.

Contextual PDP Nudges & Stacking

The product detail page is where most buying decisions happen, and where most of them fall apart. Manifest AI places a floating nudge bar on the page with suggested questions drawn from what the customer is actively browsing: "What are the benefits of Max Magnesium?" or "What is the source of your Omega-3?" The questions that would otherwise go unasked, answered before the customer has to go looking.

The AI also identifies stacking opportunities. A customer browsing Omega-3 might receive a contextual offer for a complementary product at 20% off, with a short explanation of how the two work together. Over the 30-day study period, 1,140 nudges converted passive browsing into active conversations.

WhatsApp AI Integration

Ace Blend's customers are already on WhatsApp. Manifest AI puts the same product assistant in that channel, answering ingredient queries, explaining formulations, and recommending products without redirecting anyone to the website.

WhatsApp turned out to be the best-performing channel of the three. It generated a 15X ROI on its own over the 30-day period.

The Results

Revenue: The deployment drove $54,000+ in attributed revenue. WhatsApp generated a 15X ROI. 33% of Ace Blend's total sales over the period were attributed to AI-assisted conversations.

Orders: 700+ orders driven via Manifest AI, with a 19.27% add-to-cart rate from customers who engaged with the AI and a $24+ average order value.

Support: 5,788 queries resolved by AI with no human involved. Only 186 conversations (3%) escalated to an agent. 97% reduction in agent effort.

Engagement: 5,518 shoppers assisted, 6,053 guided conversations completed.

In their own words

"Manifest has been one of the most effective deployments for us when it comes to helping customers make informed decisions. The setup was seamless, and the platform's interface is designed to help teams adapt quickly and move faster. Cross-integration with the helpdesk helps in alerting and allocating agents where human intervention is required. Highly recommended."
-Aishwary Mishra, Head of IT and CRM, Ace Blend
