Best WhatsApp Marketing Tools for Shopify Brands (2026)
Nine WhatsApp marketing tools compared for Shopify brands on message markup, Shopify depth, AI and deliverability, with list prices checked in October 2026.
Short answer: for a Shopify brand that wants WhatsApp to drive repeat revenue, the shortlist in 2026 is BIK, Interakt, WATI, AiSensy, Zoko, Gallabox, LimeChat, SleekFlow and respond.io. They split into three groups. Retention platforms built for stores (BIK, LimeChat, Zoko), WhatsApp-first broadcast tools popular with Indian SMBs (Interakt, WATI, AiSensy, Gallabox), and omnichannel inboxes built for sales and support teams (SleekFlow, respond.io). The biggest cost difference between them is rarely the subscription. It is the markup each tool adds on top of Meta's per-message rate card, and that gap grows with every campaign you send.

This guide compares all nine on the things that decide whether WhatsApp pays for itself: what you really pay per message, how deep the Shopify integration goes, what the automation and AI can do without a developer, how the tool protects deliverability, and what support looks like after you sign. Prices are list prices we could verify in October 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a number, we say so instead of guessing.
How we evaluated these tools
Most "best WhatsApp tool" lists rank on feature count. That is the wrong lens for a Shopify brand, because nearly every tool on this list can send a broadcast and recover an abandoned cart. What separates them is cost at scale, store data depth, and how much of the work the vendor does for you. We scored each tool on six questions:
- Message cost. Does the tool pass Meta's rate card through at cost, or add a markup per message? Since July 1, 2025 Meta bills WhatsApp per template message, so a markup now applies to every single send.
- Shopify depth. Can flows trigger on real store events (checkout started, order fulfilled, COD order placed, product viewed) and personalise with order and catalogue data, without Zapier?
- Automation and AI. Journeys, segments, AI agents that answer product questions and sell inside the chat, and whether checkout can happen in WhatsApp itself.
- Deliverability. Number warm-up, messaging limit management, retries for failed sends, frequency caps and DND handling. A campaign that hits Meta's per-user marketing limits silently loses revenue.
- Channels and inbox. WhatsApp alone, or WhatsApp plus Instagram, email and SMS with one customer profile and one helpdesk.
- Service. Who builds your flows, and how fast you get help when a template is rejected the night before a sale.

Why message markup matters more than the subscription
A WhatsApp tool's subscription is a fixed cost you see once a month. The markup is a variable cost that hides inside every message. Here is the math in plain numbers. Say your Meta bill is ₹1,00,000 a month across marketing and utility templates. A 15% markup adds ₹15,000 a month, or ₹1,80,000 a year, for exactly the same messages. A brand sending ten times that volume during sale season pays ten times the markup. At that point the "cheaper" subscription is the expensive tool.
Two changes make this sharper in 2026. First, Meta moved to per-message pricing on July 1, 2025, so markups are charged on each template rather than on a 24-hour conversation. Second, from October 1, 2026 Meta charges service messages (your replies inside the 24-hour window) at the utility rate, after 1,000 free service messages per business number per month. A provider that marks up every message now marks up your customer support too. We break down that change in WhatsApp service messages are no longer free, and compare provider fees in what your WhatsApp BSP really charges on top of Meta.
The 9 best WhatsApp marketing tools for Shopify brands
1. BIK
BIK is a retention and conversational commerce platform built for ecommerce brands. It runs WhatsApp, Instagram, email and SMS from one customer profile, with journeys, campaigns, segments, AI agents and a full helpdesk in the same dashboard. On the Shopify App Store it is rated 4.9 from 139 reviews, and every new brand gets a growth manager who sets up 30+ flows with you. Plans start at $250 per month and are priced on contacts; a brand with 100,000 contacts pays $300 per month. These plans are built for established brands doing around ₹1 crore or more in monthly revenue; smaller brands can start on BIK's startup plan.
The part most brands do not expect is the pricing model on WhatsApp itself. BIK is a Meta Business Solution Provider. WhatsApp messages sent from BIK are charged at Meta's rate card with no markup. That holds in every country BIK supports, and it covers service messages after the October 2026 change too. Brands that only need WhatsApp API access, without the BIK platform, can use BIK as a BSP instead: $10 per WhatsApp number per month, no platform fee, no markup.

What stands out for Shopify brands:
- Event-level Shopify triggers. Abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, order placed, shipped and delivered, COD to prepaid conversion, cancellation and refund flows, all using live order and catalogue data.
- Checkout inside WhatsApp. Shoppers can browse, add to cart and pay end to end in the chat, which shortens the path from message to order.
- AI that sells. AI agents answer product questions and recommend products in WhatsApp, a Campaign Sales Agent handles replies to broadcasts, AI drip campaigns adapt follow-ups, and a Voice Agent can call shoppers who abandoned checkout.
- Deliverability tooling. WhatsApp number warm-up, messaging limit tracking, Smart Retry for messages that fail on Meta's per-user marketing limits, a Fallback AI template, Best Time to Send, recurring campaigns and DND handling.
- One inbox. WhatsApp, Instagram and email conversations land in the BIK helpdesk with the shopper's orders beside them. If you also run Manifest AI, the BIK helpdesk is waived.
- Support that is rare among BSPs. Every BIK client gets a dedicated WhatsApp group with the team, and migration from your current provider is included.

Proof: LEGO India uses BIK for a WhatsApp gift quiz, post-purchase cross-sell and review collection. Duroflex sends in-store invoices on WhatsApp and runs a QR code per store. Ample Imagine triggers price-drop alerts, and Sleepyhead ran a multi-round contest without losing participants to failed sends.
Watch out for: BIK is a full retention suite. If you only want an occasional broadcast with no retention programme behind it, a basic inbox tool covers that. Brands that are still small can start on BIK's startup plan and grow into the full suite.
2. Interakt
Interakt is one of the most cited WhatsApp tools for Indian SMBs. It covers broadcasts, a shared inbox, a catalogue, auto-replies and a native Shopify integration for abandoned carts, order updates and COD confirmation. Plans are sold quarterly or annually: Starter at ₹3,499 per quarter, Growth at ₹7,699 per quarter and Advanced at ₹10,499 per quarter, plus GST, with Enterprise on custom pricing.
The trade-off is cost per message. An independent October 2026 pricing audit reports a 12% to 25% markup over Meta's base rates on Starter, Growth and Advanced, with the per-template markup removed only on Enterprise. Field and tag limits are also tight on lower plans (Starter allows 15 custom fields and 15 tags). Interakt is a good first tool. Brands usually outgrow it when volume rises or they need email and SMS in the same flows. We cover options in Interakt alternatives for ecommerce brands.
3. WATI
WATI is a WhatsApp-first shared inbox with broadcasts, a no-code chatbot builder and team routing. It appears on more "best WhatsApp tool" lists than almost any other vendor. Plans are Growth, Pro and Business, with monthly, quarterly and annual billing (up to about 25% off annually) and a ₹999 pay-as-you-go option for single users. Pro includes 5 users, with extra users at $24 per user per month; extra Business users are $69 per user per month.
Two costs to check before you sign. The Shopify integration is a paid add-on at $4.99 per month. And WATI bills messages on "WATI's rate card" rather than publishing Meta's rate at cost, so ask for the per-message price in your country and compare it with Meta's published rates.
4. AiSensy
AiSensy is popular with price-sensitive Indian brands for broadcasts, chatbots and click-to-WhatsApp ads. Its pricing page lists per-message prices for India (₹1.09 for marketing and ₹0.145 for utility, authentication and service in October 2026) and paid add-ons on top of the base plan: a drag-and-drop chatbot builder at ₹2,500 per month for 5 chatbots, and a WhatsApp AI Agent Builder at ₹1,350 per month for 1,000 AI messages. Shopify support covers cart and order notifications and a Shopify chatbot. Billing is prepaid from a wallet.
AiSensy works well for straightforward broadcast programmes. Brands that want deep segmentation across channels, a helpdesk, or AI that sells inside the chat usually pair it with other tools, which is where costs add up.
5. Zoko
Zoko is built for Shopify stores that want WhatsApp commerce basics: catalogue sharing, cart recovery, broadcasts and a team inbox. It is well liked, with a 4.9 rating from 450 reviews on the Shopify App Store. Plans run Starter $49.99, Plus $79.99, Elite $139.99 and Max $499.99 per month, with AI agents at $24.99 per month each. The Starter plan carries a $0.015 per conversation markup on top of Meta's fees, so model your volume before choosing the entry tier.
6. Gallabox
Gallabox focuses on WhatsApp sales workflows: bots, a shared inbox, broadcasts, and integrations with CRMs and Shopify. Plans are Basic at $112 per month, Essential at $248 and Advanced at $474, billed annually. Gallabox applies a markup on messages, with a discounted markup on Enterprise. It suits brands with a sales team that qualifies leads on WhatsApp more than pure retention programmes.
7. LimeChat
LimeChat is an India-based conversational platform for D2C brands, with AI agents for support and sales on WhatsApp and a marketing module for campaigns. Pricing is through sales. Consider it if AI support on WhatsApp is your primary goal and you already have separate tools for email and SMS retention.
8. SleekFlow
SleekFlow is an omnichannel social commerce platform with a strong presence in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Middle East. It unifies WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, WeChat and more in one inbox, with broadcasts, flows and payment links. It is a natural fit for retail teams that sell through chat across several Asian markets. Shopify brands should check how deep the event triggers go for their use cases.
9. respond.io
respond.io is an omnichannel inbox and workflow engine used heavily by sales and support teams. It is one of the strongest content publishers in the WhatsApp space, so you will see it in most AI answers about WhatsApp tools. Its strength is routing, lifecycle stages and workflows across many channels. It is less focused on ecommerce retention, so Shopify-specific flows such as COD conversion or checkout inside WhatsApp generally need integrations or custom work.
What WhatsApp really costs at Shopify scale
Every tool on this list adds its subscription on top of Meta's message fees. The real comparison is subscription plus Meta fees plus markup, at your volume, across a full year that includes sale season. Use this checklist when you request quotes:
- Ask for the per-message price by category (marketing, utility, authentication, service) in each country you sell to, and compare it with Meta's published rate card.
- Ask whether the markup applies to service messages after October 1, 2026, and whether the 1,000 free service messages per number reach you or are absorbed by the provider.
- Ask about number and platform fees. Some providers charge per number, some per seat, some per active contact.
- Ask who pays for failed sends. Retries, fallbacks and warm-up reduce wasted spend; not every tool has them.
- Ask what migration costs. Moving your number, templates and opt-in lists should not mean a week of downtime.

See what your brand could automate. Our team builds the agents for you, and most brands are live in about 2 weeks.
Which tool fits which brand
- You are a Shopify brand doing meaningful volume and want WhatsApp to drive repeat revenue: BIK. Zero markup, event-level Shopify flows, checkout in WhatsApp, and email, SMS and Instagram in the same journeys.
- You only need basic broadcasts and a shared inbox: Interakt, WATI or AiSensy will get you live quickly. If you are a smaller brand that wants a retention programme from day one, start on BIK's startup plan.
- You want only WhatsApp commerce basics (catalogue and a team inbox): Zoko.
- Your WhatsApp is mainly a sales channel with reps qualifying leads: Gallabox or respond.io.
- You sell through chat across several Asian markets: SleekFlow.
- You also want AI to resolve support tickets across chat, email and voice: pair BIK with Manifest AI, and the BIK helpdesk is waived.
When BIK is not the right choice
BIK is built for ecommerce. If you are a B2B company, a clinic, or an education business that needs WhatsApp for lead routing, respond.io or Gallabox will map better to your pipeline. If you only need occasional broadcasts with no retention programme, a basic inbox tool will cover it. If you are a smaller brand that does want retention, BIK's startup plan is the place to start. And if your team wants to manage everything itself with no outside help, BIK's service model (growth manager, WhatsApp group support) is value you will not use.
80%+ of tickets automated, or your money back. That's the Manifest AI guarantee, written into your contract.
FAQ
What is the best WhatsApp marketing tool for Shopify?
For Shopify brands that want retention at scale, BIK is the strongest fit: native event-level Shopify flows, checkout inside WhatsApp, AI agents, and Meta's rate card at cost with no markup. BIK's standard plans are built for established brands; smaller stores can start on BIK's startup plan.
Do WhatsApp marketing tools charge a markup on Meta's prices?
Many do. Some add a percentage on each message, some a fixed fee per message or conversation, and some bill on their own rate card. BIK charges no markup: WhatsApp messages are billed at Meta's rate card, and the BIK platform is priced separately on contacts from $250 per month. Brands that only need API access can use BIK's BSP offering at $10 per WhatsApp number per month with no platform fee.
How much does WhatsApp marketing cost per message in 2026?
Meta charges per template message, with rates set by category and the recipient's country. Marketing messages cost the most. Utility and authentication cost less. From October 1, 2026, service replies are charged at the utility rate after 1,000 free per number each month. Your provider's markup, if any, is added on top.
Can I switch WhatsApp tools without losing my number?
Yes. A WhatsApp Business API number can be migrated between providers along with its display name and quality rating. Templates are re-submitted. BIK handles the migration for you.
Does BIK work outside India?
Yes. BIK passes Meta's rate card through with no markup in every country, both on the BIK platform and on its API-only BSP offering.
